We Make Me Laugh
R: I’m at the liar’s (lawyer’s) office. Me: Oh switching teams, are we? (R was a legal analyst before that activation thing happened) R: Blood suckers! Me: F’ing sharks! R: 275 an hour, playa! Me: Oooh get his number. R: Hmph. Well at least you’d be upgrading. Me: I could never do that. Baby you the best. You da you da best. R: Oh no you didn’t.

Mushy, gushy, lovey post
Today was a good day, and a bad day. First the bad: Merek left to go back to his dad’s so he can start school on Monday. The hole his departure leaves in my heart is just that: a hole. We did have fun while he was here. Saw two movies, watched the Portland Beavers play, toured OMSI and a Navy submarine, walked all around downtown Portland just yesterday… I have the blisters to prove...

Monkey Bite Story, in part...
This happened about 3 years ago… Thursday morning, R and I left for L.A. and it was a pretty boring drive I must say. My niece lives right smack dab in the middle of West Hollywood - a mere block or two up from Sunset Blvd. R and I roll in around late-ish afternoon. Today marks a year that R was activated. An online friend’s baby was born the same day so I have watched the months pass for such a happy occasion but when I saw that “She’s a year old today!”, it kind of felt like a sock to the stomach. A year seems like such a long time. That’s because it probably is.
